I’m taking the TONY challenge. Are you?

Starting a new book today: Normal People Don’t Live Like This

I took a cue from Time Out NY’s Book review and will be reading Dylan Landis’s book this evening. I’ll let you know what I think. The last time I was blown away by a TONY book review enough to pick the book up that day it had been over Stacyann Chin’s The Other Side of Paradise this past spring.

I tried finding Ten Walks/Two Talks, but it seems it can only be ordered through Amazon or directly from Ugly Duckling Press. The review was intriguing, the cover art caught my eye. If anyone knows how I can get my hands on the second book without ordering online please let me know. Thanks!

I knew I read about this film when I was working at Time Out NY and I missed the opportunity to see it then. A year later (this spring) it will be available in theaters and I can’t wait to view it. I was flipping through Nylon magazine this morning when a familiar phrase jumped out at me. “She plays Ivy, home on break from college with a friend who’s a boy (though not necessarily a boyfriend).”
Obviously they took it straight from a press release because I’ve read those words before used to describe this film. I just can’t remember where. Anyway, it’s on my “to watch” list. I’m wishing spring would get here a little faster. Here’s a link to the trailer.
